- In 1998 I won a Mazda Millennium Luxury Sedan in a “Hands On” Stamina Contest during the Washington D.C. Auto Show.
- In 2005 at the age 0f 34 I ran my first marathon and cried for the last mile

- In 2008 I learned my six-word memoir, “Lazy Programmer, Ugly Runner, Nascar Dad” was published in a book titled “Not Quite What I Was Planning”.
