“Not Quite What I Was Planning” Contributor Registry

As I mentioned in a few posts last week, I was lucky enough to get my six-work memoir into the book “Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure“. It occurred to me in an e-mail exchange with another contributor by the name of Jace Albao and one of the books editors Rachel Fershleiser that it would be really cool to try and connect the blogs or websites of all of the contributors in some useful way.

I first considered creating a “webring” for this purpose but after researching good webring providers found that there really aren’t any around any more. At one time, this was a nice way of linking like sites together but most of the providers have started charging to create their rings and quite frankly most of the tools are pretty poorly designed.

In the absence of having a good tool for this I thought I’d start a running list of the contributors here and call it a Contributors Registry. If, at a later point, I find a better tool for this I’ll migrate the data. If anyone has an idea for a better mechanism leave me a comment.
